Artist: Chris Postle
Chris was born in Kingaroy, Queensland in 1959. Much of his childhood was spent in the country in both Central and South East Queensland where he became fascinated with the wildlife he encountered.
Mainly self-taught, he became a full time, professional artist in the late 1980’s, and along the way has operated his own galleries and promoted other artists. His diverse technical skills and a lifetime of creative practices allow him, along with his passion for life and the outdoors, to continue to wow a global audience.
Chris’ beautiful paintings capture light and life in colourful impressions, and he finds constant inspiration from the ocean and its inhabitants as well as the rainforest and local flora and fauna.
He was the resident artist and tutor for more than three years at The Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island. He has tutored in acrylics and oils for a number of regional art galleries and societies including Noosa, Chinchilla and Mont, and continues to challenge his artistic self in the pursuit of fulfilment and happiness.
